To align with Taiwan’s economic development and interdisciplinary research, the College of Engineering, College of Medicine, College of Bioresources and Agriculture, and College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at National Taiwan University have jointly established the NTU Radiation Application and Hardness Technology Research Center (RTRC) while collaborating with the radiation therapy equipment of the NTU Hospital System and proton therapy equipment of NTU Cancer Center to foster cooperation among experts in related fields. This initiative aims to develop critical radiation application and hardness technologies applicable to space, satellite communications, the Internet of Vehicles, healthcare, and agriculture.
The mission of RTRC is as follows:
1. Integration and Research: To consolidate the research capabilities and equipment of related
departments in radiation applications and hardness technology systems, facilitate interdisciplinary
research and exchange, advance innovative and practical radiation application development, and
provide consultation and technical support for the formulation of radiation hardness policies.
2. Talent Development: To cultivate talent in radiation hardness technologies, thereby accelerating
research progress in radiation applications.
