Co-organized by the NTU Department of Electrical Engineering, ACRC, IEEE SSCS Taipei Chapter, and
NTU RTRC, a forward-looking academic lecture was successfully held on July 22, 2026, at the NTU EE
Building 2. The event featured a keynote presentation by Prof. Woogeun Rhee (Li Yugen), an IEEE
Fellow from Sungkyunkwan University, titled "Low-voltage frequency generation, modulation, and
demodulation circuits for mobile IoT".
As Mobile IoT becomes ubiquitous, enabling battery-free operation by utilizing energy harvesters has become critical for next-generation SoC development.
Prof. Rhee highlighted that scaling the supply voltage to Sub-0.5V is the most direct approach to
reducing overall power consumption, though it poses significant challenges for clock and frequency
