The NTU Radiation Application and Radiation Hardness Technology Research Center (RTRC) has been
invited to deliver a professional course in Hsinchu, aiming to help Taiwan’s industry, academia, and
research sectors comprehensively master both the theoretical and practical aspects of space
radiation challenges and mitigation strategies.
Beyond understanding the space radiation environment, the course focuses on how to validate on the
ground whether a product can survive in space radiation conditions. It will introduce the complete
set of domestic testing resources, procedures, and practical guidelines to support participants in
planning and executing cost-effective validation.
A key highlight is demonstrating how to leverage limited budgets by adopting commercial
off-the-shelf (COTS) components alongside customized verification strategies, enabling the
development of highly reliable space systems tailored for CubeSat missions.
Led by RTRC’s core faculty team, the course will combine cutting-edge research outcomes with
hands-on experience, providing participants with valuable insights and actionable skills.
